DTV200 USB 2.0 DVB-T TV Stick Trouble Shooting Guide

1. Driver download

1)Driver for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 (Download it now)

2)Driver for Linux (for Linux kernels up to version 2.6.29) (Download it now)

3)If your Linux Kernel is newer than version 2.6.29 (the driver on the CD)

Important: please always install the driver first before you plug the DTV200 USB 2.0 DVB-T into USB 2.0 port on computer.

3. Remote Control does not work

• Please install the driver from the enclosed software CD by following the instruction on page 2-3 in the user manual
• Please install the driver from the CD BEFORE you plug the DVB-T stick into the USB 2.0 port. Important: If you plug the DVB-T stick into the USB 2.0 first, then the Windows will automatically find the driver from Microsoft, which will cause the DVB-T and remote control not work
• Please check and pull the plastic film out from the remote control
• Please check if the battery is in the remote control
• Please try a new battery. The required battery is CR2025. The "+" should face the back of the remote
• Please point the remote control to the DVB-T dongle.

• Important: the remote control with the DVB-T Stick is designed for the enclosed HDTV player 6.0. It is not designed for Windows Media Centre.
  

4. License Key does not work

All softwares in the box come with official license key. You do NOT need to buy another key.

1)Please do check the key when you enter it. Some customers made mistake in entering the following letters and number:

U, V, Z, L, 2, 1,B (they entered U as V, Z as 2, 1 as L, B as 8).
2)Please do NOT enter the letters "S/N:"
Please only enter the characters after "S/N:"

5. Can not receive TV channels

• please try to use rooftop TV aerial
• please try it a on a DIFFERENT USB 2.0 port

There may be difficulty to receive Freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong. This is due to that the Freeview service in the UK is not fully operating yet.The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program. A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to Freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings & etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to receive Freeview in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.

6. HDTV Player 6.0: can not add TV channels to favourite

Please download the service pack to fix the sound and favourite problem.

Step 1: Download service pack for HDTV Player (ZIP File)

Step 2: Unzip the zip file to a temporary directory

7. How to setup DTV200 DVB-T Stick with Windows 7 Media Centre to watch TV?

Please take the steps below to get it setup

1)Please install the driver from the enclosed software CD by following the instruction on page 2-3 in the user manual

2)Plug the DTV200 USB DVB-T Stick into the USB 2.0 port

3)Go to Windows 7 "Start"-->choose "All programs"--> run "Windows Media Centre"-->Choose "Tasks" from the menu

-->choose "Setting"-->Choose "TV"-->Choose "Setup TV signal"-->follow the instruction on the screen until "TV channel Scan".

4)When TV Channel Scan is completed, please go back to the TV menu, select "live TV" to watch TV or record it.
