Worked straight out of the box with Win7.. Does what it says, and does it perfectly.. Great product. I already had PD on my PC, so didn't need any additional software to run it.

Plug and play, it exactly what it is supposed to with no issues whatsoever.

Have transferred all my DV camcorder videos to mpg files very easily. Excellent and easy to use product.

It does work with windows 7 64bi.t As reported takes a little fidleing to get the driver working but only takes a few mins. The bundled software is realy good for the price too.

I bought the VACP305 to transfer old Hi8 family VDOs onto laptop to then burn to DVD. Having read mixed reviews of similar products on other websites I had low expectations but bought this after seeing some good reviews. I needn't have worried - this product is excellent and so easy to use. The software loaded first time & the editing software (PowerDirector) seems very good (although I haven't done any serious editing as there are lots of different features to learn). At first I had no sound but the Support tab on ClimaxDigital website suggested changing a setting (very easy - no IT knowledge needed) & BINGO! I would absolutely recommend this product & ClimaDigital.

I used this to save a collection of VHS NTSC tapes I had from the USA, needed to convert to PAL and capture to my hard dirve. This did it perfectly, program was fast to load, very easy to use. Went into settings and changed the parameters for NTSC, after trying out a few options setlled on one and that was it, it remembers the last setting. For the price it is just first class, Simple

Have been trying loads of these Grabbers and Easycaps and none work properly with Win 7 64 bit. Either no picture, or rubbish picture or terrible interference.

Then i read reviews for this and fellow Win 7 64 bit users were saying it worked... I want convinced but bout yet another capture device and hoped.

Ordered yesterday, was here this morning, set up took 2 minutes. Tried it ..... and it works PERFECTLY, its fantastic, both Drivers and Capture software.

If you have Windows 7 64 bit and you have been pulling your hair out trying capture devices... the VCAP305 is the one for you. It will work.

I am absoutely delighted and can reccommend this totally, enjoy people, at last one of these does what we want it to and is 100% working.

I bought this product because I have a tape based video camera and this was a far less expensive solution than buying a more modern SD card based video camera.

The VCAP305 USB 2.0 Video capture-converter is an excellent product and great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone. It is very easy to install and very easy to transfer video from my camera to my laptop.

I am still learning how to edit my videos with the supplied Showbiz software and with practice I will be able to use the software to its full potential and make some great movies.

The editing functionality allows you to do all the usual things such as add titles and fade out plus much more.

The publish function of the Showbiz software is very easy to use and there are plenty of options to help you achieve that perfect video masterpiece. You have a choice of resolutions sizes you export the video as and not that I have used it yet there is an easy step by step guide to uploading your videos to youtube.

Climaxdigital’s service has been excellent, I ordered the converter at 8pm on the Wednesday night and it was delivered on the Friday that week.

Bought this for my son to record XBOX game play . As the details say YOU must select NTSC 4.33 . for colour .
NOTE the PAL 60 gives black and white , AND YOU need to scroll UP the menu to find the NTSC 4.33 setting , and then ur up and running . !!!
If ur going to up load ur game play to youtube or GB DO'NT use the upload in the software , instead save to ur PC in the highest quality . And then up load the file , that way you wont be disappointed with the result . We used the Svideo out from the XBOX . and got good results .

I had purchased three other USB capture devices for my XM2 which i was assured would work with windows 7. None of them did. This does "what it says on the tin", at last I can capture my video.

as others below, problems loading from disc. Climax responded quickly to email question and downloaded driver from website. Really easy to use for recording, though multi-tasking sometimes inadvertantly 'stopped' the recording (not sure which activity caused this, though it may have been putting in password after screensaver activated. Sound didn't work on S video lead, but all worked fine on RGB leads. Easy to use for 'snapshots'

ive had thi sproduct about a week now and i still dont no how to connect it up to my ps3 and tv please could you give me some infromation on how to do it ?

Although I experienced problems with the installation disc, this was quickly solved by Climax. The results using this device have been 1st class and I would recommend it to others.

The VCAP305 works perfectly over Composite Video from VHS on Windows XP - no issues at all. Could not get it work over S-Video, but I haven't investigated this fully yet - not a problem for what I want anyway. I prefer to use my other capture and editing packages, Roxio and Ulead, rather than the Honestech supplied with the product. I do not use the record button nor the One Touch Grabber. Service and communications from Climax Digital was excellent. After trying other options without success, this product has provided me with exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks.

Been trying to find something like this for years now - each time was treated as if I was mad. Now have found it I cant stop using it. Fantastic bit of kit well recommended and so are the suppliers - fantastic after sales service as well answering queries extremely quickly - well done and thanks

help was very good , i wasnt sure on product and i was advised to buy this product becuase of the fullscreen preview capability and im very glad i did buy it and at a good price too.

i had one or two problems to start with but i emailed the support and they were very swift in their replies and it is now working perfectly i would definately recommend this product.

For the job the device is made for - it does it well, as the other reviews read. I, however, wanted to use it as a capture-to-stream device. It does this well with extra software, and the encoder inside the USB doesnt seem to support the standard sample rate for streaming, nor does it support 60HZ colour. Great for what it is meant for.

The service was lightening fast. A slight problem with installation as the disc only supported XP and Vista.I e-mailed support and received a fix for Windows 7 within the hour.

I've been meaning to pick something like this for some time, to digitise some things from an old Freeview recorder. It works well and the quality is great for such a low price and it was delivered very quickly.
