very good quality for money

from on 11/09/2009

very easy to setup and use, although the software does not allow widescreen capture and has some interlace on playback, i recomend for editing and rendering to use sony vegas 8 or 9, for the price, the ease of use and quality of renedered video is in my opinion, one of the best capture cards out there,

Needed to purchase Scart Adapter Switchable to get signal from my VCR player

Excellent

I also needed a scart switch adapter but I found this easy to use. The videos I was transferring weren't important but they turned out fine so I'm pleased I bought this instead of a cheaper version.

Excellent does exactly as required

Excellent product, high quality copy obtained from PVR, Humax HD Freesat, DVD Player and direct from TV. If and when Freesat start to include BBC iPlayer etc, it'll even allow (seemingly) copying of programs downloaded from there. Highly recommended

Good, inexpensive product - captures the maximum resolution available on my older video and works on Windows 7

Excellent product! One of the few that supports Windows 7 64 bit.
Had some problems with installation, but ClimaxDigital provided me excellent troubleshooting

Product arrived on time, Easy to follow instructions, downloaded software, pluged my Sony Hi8 and was downloading from my camera onto computer within a short period of time.
Will save me having to purchase a digital camcorder before the Sony "dies" and can save all my tapes to digital format and edit all the shots into some sort of order.
Money well spent!

Worked fine eventually however:
On windows 7 had to:
Go to Device Manager under sound devices, click upgrade driver, "browse my computer for driver", "let me pick from list", legacy driver, ok
Took me ages to figure that - the wonder of windows. Before that the sound was mucked up.
Arrived in the post the day after ordering

Good (April 2011)

Although the 1st unit supplied was faulty, this was very quickly replaced without any fuss.
I now have 2 of these units, which have both been running 24hr/day since early March (they are being used to monitor & capture video from bird nesting boxes).
These devices are not intended for Linux, however they capture video very well on my Lubuntu 10.10 computer, but sound capture is not currently supported by the community driver.

Does what it says on the tin, installed on PC and easy to use. I use it to run CCTV system on my PC so I have got motion sensitive software and it works a treat. Thanks
