Top notch product for SD channels

As with many products the installation was not 100% straightforward, mainly because I didn't follow the instructions to the letter! The backup from 'Climax' was very good and my queries were dealt with, within an hour or two. In reality the software is excellent I would say. I found the edit facility a bit difficult to figure out and also I was unable to assign the 'usual' channel numbers automatically (i.e. 1 for BBC1, 2 for BBC2 etc. etc.). These are just small niggles, overall it's a great piece of kit, but what a shame it can't receive the HD channels!

Dont plug in before install. Good quality product if you have good graphics card you get better quality. Even hd chanels are viewd really sell

For the money this is a good product. The picture quality is reasonable but not as good as my last PCI DVB tuner but it's 1/3 of the price so no real complaints. The customer support is also great which helped with my decision to buy this.

Works well as a tuner with Media Portal in windows 7 64 bit.
Windows update found the driver automatically.
Reasonable price. Needed a rooftop aerial plugged in to get decent reception.

Excellent tuner for the price. Postage to Germany a little on the slow side but not a biggie.
All packaged professionally with a small antenna and software discs and a remote. I needed only the usb tuner. The tuner Is pretty much plug and play if you use in a Windows environment with Windows Media Center. I use Window s 7 64 bit and the drivers were found immediately by Windows and installed. I am very impressed by the speed with which the tuner can switch between channels - it is not far off being instant, compared with my Pinnacle card which took forever. Found 33 channels (I'm on an amplified antenna - no roof antenna possible in this rented house) and it seems like I would get a great deal more from the tuner were I able to provide it with a proper antenna, as the signal to some of the channels is too weak to maintain a watchable picture - this is in contrast to the Pinnacle card (which cost 20 euros) which did a better job with the weaker signal. CPU utilisation is very low for what it needs to do, and the USB nature of the device is perfect for my fanless system, as there is no heat generated within the actual case.
Windows 8 drivers are apparently on the way and I will look forward to them when they do appear.
Overall, very happy, only slight niggle is the ability to deal with a weaker signal.
